Exciting new times at York!
As we move ahead with the Families First for Children Reforms in the City of York, we are expanding our team and looking for passionate people who want to make a real difference to children and young people and their families.
This is a great time to join us as we launch the national families first reforms. Come and find out about our new teams and how you could join us in building brighter futures for children and young people in York.
The event is a chance to learn more about how we in the City of York are implementing the Families First Programme through Family Help and Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams, our values, and how you can join us in driving positive change for families in our community.

Event Details
- Date and Time: Drop in anytime between 5pm and 7pm
- What to Expect:
- Learn about new and upcoming opportunities across a range of posts including qualified Social Workers and Practice Supervisors, and alternatively qualified roles.
- Meet members of the team.
- Discover how your skills and passion can contribute to meaningful, family-centred support.
- Understand how you could expect to be supported through assistive technology, manageable caseloads, high quality training, and supportive supervision.

Some roles form part of the implementation of the Families First reforms, which will come into effect on 1 October 2026. Should you be successful in securing an offer of employment, your start date will be on or after this date, subject to the completion of all required pre-employment checks, including DBS clearance.
