Job Introduction
We're now recruiting Building Maintenance Engineers to join the Engineering and Facilities team at our brand-new Distribution Centre in Doncaster. This is a unique opportunity to be part of one of the UK's largest distribution centre developments, joining the site during its construction and commissioning phases before operations begin.
Reporting to the Building Maintenance Manager, you'll work closely with Technicians, contractors, and automation partners to prepare the site for operational handover. Supporting commissioning activities, developing maintenance strategies, and helping establish engineering standards and processes, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, reliable, and high-performing operation from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Once the site becomes operational, you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime, and ensuring the distribution centre, office facilities, and building infrastructure continue to operate safely and efficiently.
