Are you an experienced Service Engineer looking to take the next step in your career with a market-leading engineering organisation?
We are recruiting for a Senior Service Engineer to join a highly respected business operating within the critical infrastructure and industrial engineering sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically skilled engineer who enjoys a mix of hands-on field service, customer interaction, and technical leadership.
The Role
As a Senior Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of specialist mechanical and electrical systems across customer sites throughout London and the South East.

You will act as a technical expert within the service team, supporting customers, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive service activities.
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Commission new equipment and systems on customer sites.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and colleagues.
- Produce accurate service reports and documentation.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Support junior engineers and share technical knowledge within the team.
About You
- Proven experience in a Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, or Senior Service Engineer position.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working on industrial, process, compressed gas, HVAC, rotating equipment, power generation, or similar engineering systems.
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Relevant engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
