Role Overview
As the Building Manager, you will provide operational management for our buildings, ensuring smooth collaboration between teams, statutory compliance, and a customer-focused environment. Key expectations include:
- Leading multi-site facilities operations

This role demands exceptional leadership, operational oversight, and a passion for driving excellence in facilities management.
Core Responsibilities
- Team Management: Mentor staff, conduct performance reviews, and foster staff development.
- Health & Safety: Uphold legislative compliance and risk management protocols.
- Administer audits, inspections, and system improvements.
- Contractor Oversight: Manage vendors, monitor service delivery, and oversee indoctrination processes.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between internal/external stakeholders.
- Conduct audits, resolve operational challenges, and maintain high service standards.
- Facilities Operations: Use facilities management systems (e.g., CAFM) for efficient planning.
- Flexibility: Support multi-site work and contingent on-call duties.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years in Facilities Operations within large or multi-site organisations.
- Deep knowledge of:
- Health & Safety legislation/standards
- Insurance policies (e.g., approved qualifications or equivalent experience)
- People Management expertise:
- Performance management, coaching, and team development.
- Operational Skills with:
- Prioritisation, planning, contractor relationship management.
- Commitment to continual improvement through audits, performance tracking, and workflow optimisation.

Technical Proficency:
- Expertise in Microsoft® Office suite.
- Familiarity with Facilities Management systems (e.g., CAFM).
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, a preference for:
- Certified Facilities Management (Cert FM) qualification or equivalent.
- Doctoral qualifications in related fields.
