A leading and highly respected property managing agent is seeking an experienced and proactive Building Manager to oversee a prestigious commercial property portfolio in West Yorkshire.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious property professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional building management, enhancing occupier experience, and driving continuous improvement across a commercial asset.
THE ROLE...
As Building Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of a high-profile commercial property, ensuring the asset is maintained to the highest standards while delivering an outstanding experience for tenants, visitors, and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing both minor and major refurbishment projects, overseeing contractors and service partners, maintaining full compliance, and building strong relationships with occupiers.
You will also play a key role in developing innovative initiatives, events, and pop-up activations designed to enhance tenant engagement, increase footfall, and strengthen the property's connection with the local community.

- Manage the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring exceptional standards are maintained throughout.
- Lead and coordinate minor and major refurbishment, improvement, and capital works projects.
- Manage onsite teams and third-party contractors, ensuring service delivery meets agreed standards and KPIs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, acting as the primary point of contact for occupier liaison.
- Ensure full compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, statutory requirements, and company policies.
- Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure operational excellence.
- Monitor service contracts, budgets, and expenditure, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and value enhancement.
- Drive tenant engagement initiatives through events, pop-ups, wellness activities, and community-focused programmes.
- Identify innovative opportunities to enhance the asset's appeal, customer experience, and commercial performance.
- Prepare management reports and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU...
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Building Manager, Facilities Manager, Property Manager, or similar commercial property role.
- Demonstrable experience managing refurbishment, fit-out, and improvement projects from inception through to completion.
- Experience managing onsite teams and multiple third-party contractors.
- Strong tenant-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety, statutory compliance, and property management best practice.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive and innovative mindset with a passion for enhancing occupier experience.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional service standards.
