BUILD MANAGER

WEST LONDON

Up to ÂŁ54,000k + Bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Building Manager to take responsibility for a landmark mixed-use commercial and retail asset in West London. This is a high-profile role where exceptional customer service is just as important as operational excellence.

We are looking for a confident, proactive and relationship-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in creating an outstanding experience for occupiers, visitors and stakeholders alike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES...

  • Lead the day-to-day operational management of a large mixed-use commercial building.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with occupiers, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and high levels of tenant satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tenants, proactively resolving issues and identifying opportunities to enhance the occupier experience.
  • Manage and develop the on-site team, providing leadership, support and motivation to achieve operational excellence.
  • Oversee the performance of hard and soft service contractors, ensuring service level agreements and key performance indicators are consistently achieved.
  • Manage service charge budgets, monitor expenditure and ensure effective financial control throughout the year.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory and health & safety legislation, maintaining accurate records and implementing best practice.
  • Coordinate landlord projects, occupier fit-outs and refurbishment works, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
  • Carry out regular building inspections, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and maintaining exceptional presentation standards.
  • Produce management reports and work closely with the client to deliver strategic objectives and asset enhancement initiatives.

YOUR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE...

  • Proven experience managing a large commercial or mixed-use property.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and relationship management skills with the confidence to engage with occupiers, clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding and practical experience of service charge budgeting and financial management.
  • Thorough knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety legislation and property management best practice.
  • Experience managing hard and soft service contractors and driving contractor performance.
  • Knowledge and experience of occupier fit-outs, landlord works and project coordination.
  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Commercial awareness with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong IT skills and experience using property management systems.
