Building Manager

Building Manager – Hard Services Facilities Professional

📍Central London

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Building Manager or Hard Services Facilities professional to support the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of a prestigious commercial property. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building strong relationships, delivering outstanding customer service, and creating a safe, sustainable, and engaging workplace environment.

The role involves close collaboration with occupiers, service partners, and building owners, ensuring the property operates efficiently, remains compliant with statutory requirements, and delivers an exceptional occupier experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the building.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and build strong relationships with occupiers, visitors, owners, and service partners.
  • Act as a key occupier contact, supporting communications, events, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Assist with service charge budgets, financial reporting, purchase orders, invoices, and expenditure monitoring.
  • Support ESG initiatives and implement effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, statutory requirements, permits, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain operational records, compliance documentation, and building procedures.
  • Monitor contractor performance, helpdesk requests, and service delivery standards.
  • Develop knowledge of building systems and facilitate access for contractor, auditor, and visitor engagement.

Essential Skills & Experience

✔ Experienced in commercial property or facilities management ✔ Knowledge of financial management and service charge budgeting ✔ Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and statutory compliance ✔ Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills ✔ Experience managing contractors and stakeholders ✔ Proficient in Microsoft 365 ✔ Demonstrates strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
