Hybrid - Greater London | Major UK Housebuilder | Senior Construction Lawyer

Are you a construction lawyer looking for a visible, high-impact in-house role?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a major UK housebuilder, taking a pivotal role in how the business manages legal risk, disputes, and compliance in a fast-moving industry. Sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll work directly with senior stakeholders and lead on some of the most high-profile building safety projects in the country.

The role

In this hands-on position, you will:

  • Lead on building safety legal matters, including cladding, structural, and fire safety remediation.
  • Draft and negotiate JCT contracts, remedial works agreements, consultant appointments, and settlements.
  • Manage disputes (mediation, pre-action protocol, and litigation) alongside external counsel.
  • Oversee legal spend and panel firm relationships, ensuring cost-effective advice.
  • Partner with project, technical, and commercial teams to deliver pragmatic solutions.
  • Streamline processes, standardise documentation, and embed best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
