We are currently seeking a Building Services Engineer to join our team, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across our sites around London and the surrounding urban areas.
You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across a varied portfolio of client sites, working independently but supported by a dedicated helpdesk and contract management team.
To meet the operational demands of the business, candidates must live within a commutable distance that allows travel to Central London within one hour during rush hour.

Package & Benefits
- Location: Central London and the surrounding urban areas
- Salary: up to £44000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout
- Hours: 41.25 hours a week

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM, servicing and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
- Respond to call-outs during normal working hours and participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota
- Communicate clearly with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth service delivery
- Liaise with the internal helpdesk and administration teams
- Maintain accurate job reports, log books and documentation
- Keep Contracts Managers informed of job progress and site issues
- Attend sites punctually, presented professionally and wearing appropriate PPE
What We Are Looking For
Knowledge & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of M&E building services
- Experience with HVAC plant including air conditioning, boilers, controls, heating and ventilation systems
- Understanding of Legionella control
- Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Time-served mechanical or maintenance engineer (apprenticeship preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Full UK driving licence
Personal Skills
- Excellent communication and time management
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Confident in diagnosing faults and making informed repair decisions

Additional Requirement
To support business needs and response times, applicants must reside within one hour of Central London during peak travel times.
