About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Lead Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of technical delivery, lead a team of engineers, and play a key role in shaping architecture, standards, and best practices across the business.
This position is also focused on supporting the Contracts Manager in delivering exceptional service to our clients, while ensuring our engineering workforce is well-supported, effective, and aligned to business objectives.
This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving complex problems, mentoring others, and driving high-quality engineering outcomes.
Package & Benefits
Location: West and North West London
Salary: up to £49000 depending on experience plus overtime and callout
Hours: 41.25 hours a week

Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers to deliver high-quality solutions Support the Contracts Manager in delivering exceptional service to clients Ensure the engineering workforce is effectively managed, supported, and performing at a high standard Take ownership of system architecture, design decisions, and technical roadmap Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions Drive best practices in quality, safety, performance, and compliance Act as a senior escalation point for technical and operational issues Contribute to continuous improvement across processes, systems, and service delivery
Who We Are Looking For
Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Senior or Lead Engineer in a relevant environment Strong technical background in [insert relevant discipline/technologies] Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills Ability to balance operational delivery with leadership responsibilities Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Desirable Experience working in a client-facing or service delivery environment Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements Experience supporting field-based engineering teams
