Building Services Technician

Building Services Technician – Rugby FWC | Fitness & Wellbeing | Permanent Contract

Permanent | Full-time | £36,500 per annum (depending on experience) | 40 hours per week

Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity, and our Fitness & Wellbeing Gyms are transforming the health of the nation. We’re seeking a dedicated Building Services Technician to maintain our facilities in prime condition.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone with experience as a maintenance engineer, technician, or manager, offering a strong foundation for career growth. In this role, you’ll ensure our Rugby Fitness & Wellbeing Centre (FWC) operates at full capacity, handling everything from electrical work to asset management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Building Services Technician, you’ll be accountable for the integrity of the entire site:

  • Maintain the building shell and surrounding grounds, with responsibility for all internal installations.
  • Service and repair our mechanical and electrical systems:
    • Swimming pools, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and plant equipment
    • Emergency lighting systems, PAT testing, and compliance with water hygiene standards in large industrial units
  • Use a secure electronic CAFM system to manage and record all maintenance and repair queries efficiently.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within your team.
  • Oversee a preventative maintenance programme, combining hands-on experience with technical expertise.
  • Develop your own skills and mentor other team members to reinforce best practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
