Building Services Technician – Rugby FWC Nuffield Health | Permanent | Full-Time

About the Role
As a Building Services Technician in Rugby’s FWC (Fitness & Wellbeing Centre), you’ll be the backbone of our site, ensuring all assets—from pools to heating systems—are efficient, compliant, and operating flawlessly.
You’ll be part of a motivated team responsible for:
- Managing emergency lighting, electrical safety (PAT tests), water hygiene, and industrial compliance.
- Upholding strict SMAC (Service Maintenance and Control) standards.
- Delivering a high-quality service in line with Nuffield Health’s Industrial Support Framework (ISF).

Site-wide technical expertise:
- Monitoring and maintaining the entire facility shell and grounds
- Overseeing mechanical systems (HVAC, heating, ventilation, cooling systems)
- Ensuring swimming pools, Cambro systems, and safety protocols (electricity, pressure vessels, etc.) meet regulatory standards

Preventative maintenance leader:
- Implementing a 28-day structured referee walkthrough and mechanical plant checks
- Identifying and reporting any equipment or building faults for repair

Compliance & safety champion:
- Adhering to electrical regulations (17th edition BS 7671 or equivalent)
- Regularly testing emergency lighting, PATs (Portable Appliance Testing), and water hygiene
- Ensuring root cause analysis for failures in compliance or efficiency based on ISF Benchmarks

Cultural role model:
- Leading by example to inspire team growth and collaborative problem-solving
- Actively participating in health and safety reviews, and industry CPD training
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
✅ Relevant technical experience:
- Minimum 17th Edition Electrical Qualification (or equivalent expertise)
- Knowledge of building automation systems and industrial management
- Training or experience in Cpd Compliance Areas (i.e. remote monitoring, electrical, water hygiene)
