Role Description
Our client is a well-established family of businesses delivering end-to-end property solutions across the UK. Working closely with clients, landlords and occupiers, they are known for delivering high-quality property management and maintenance services. They are now seeking an experienced Building Supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of a residential development in East London. This is a hands-on role where you will help ensure the building is safe, well maintained and presented to a high standard, while delivering an excellent service to residents and visitors.
The Role:
As Building Supervisor, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of the building, taking ownership of maintenance, presentation, compliance and resident experience. You will be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, ensuring issues are handled promptly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine inspections of building systems, including heating, plumbing, electrical and fire safety systems
- Log and report maintenance issues, coordinating repairs through the helpdesk system
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and escalate where necessary
- Oversee the cleanliness and presentation of communal areas and external spaces
- Monitor waste management and ensure the site remains tidy and well maintained
- Maintain building security, including locks, alarms and CCTV systems
- Support Health & Safety and fire safety procedures, responding appropriately to emergencies during working hours
- Act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors, providing a friendly and professional service
- Coordinate specialist contractors and assist with larger maintenance projects
- Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and basic maintenance materials
- Keep accurate maintenance records and support building inspections and audits.

About You:
- Previous experience in a similar building supervision, facilities or property maintenance role
- Strong practical knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes
- A proactive, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
- Confident communicating with residents, contractors and stakeholders
- Well organised, reliable and able to work independently
- A good understanding of Health & Safety and fire safety procedures.
