About The Role
Newmark offers a four-week, full-time paid internship for university students who are passionate about pursuing a career in Building Surveying. The programme is designed to give you hands-on experience across the commercial real estate industry, helping you develop practical skills while gaining valuable insight into how a leading firm supports its clients.
Throughout the internship, you will work alongside current Graduates and Senior Professionals on live projects, giving you a genuine insight into what it is like to start your career at Newmark.
You will;
- Gain exposure to Newmark's Building Surveying teams and wider Building Consultancy services, supporting a range of commercial property instructions.
- Assist with inspections, defect analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
- Support the delivery of dilapidations, project monitoring, contract administration, and technical due diligence instructions.
- Develop an understanding of client advisory services within a multidisciplinary property consultancy environment.

You will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships, expand your professional network, and learn from experienced industry professionals. You will be invited to attend networking and social events, helping you connect with colleagues across the business.
The Internship begins with a comprehensive first-day induction, where you will be introduced to our services and clients, to ensure you feel supported from day one. During the internship, you will also collaborate with fellow interns on a group project, developing your teamwork, presentation, and communication skills. The programme concludes with a group presentation, giving you the opportunity to showcase your work and gain feedback from senior members of the business.
Our Summer Internship Will Take Place
- Monday 8 June 2026 – Friday 3 July 2026 (4 weeks)
- Monday 13 July 2026 – Friday 7 August 2026 (4 weeks)

Required Skills
- An active interest in the Real Estate industry
- Flexible and self-motivated with a real desire to deliver excellent customer service and strong client relationships
- Proactive approach and a desire to continually learn and develop
- Organised, efficient, able to use your initiative and work to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with an eye for detail
- Positive attitude and willing to learn and develop
- You must, by the commencement of employment, have the right to work in the UK
- Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
Salary & Working Hours
All Interns will be paid the Real Living Wage.
