JRV Surveys & Valuations
JRV Surveys & Valuations is a well-established, independent RICS regulated practice specialising in residential home surveys and valuations across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire. Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint a qualified residential surveyor and valuer to join our team.
This role would suit an AssocRICS or MRICS surveyor with at least one year of post-qualification experience completing RICS Home Surveys and residential valuations who is looking for a stable, well supported role with flexibility and autonomy.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys and residential valuations, managing your own inspection diary and producing clear, well-written reports. Inspections will be across Greater Manchester. Report writing and administration can be completed from home, with the option to use our Altrincham office if preferred.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
