The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established property consultancy that is looking to appoint an experienced Building Surveyor to join its expanding team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential and public sector projects, delivering a broad range of professional and project services.

The Role
As a Building Surveyor, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality surveying services to a varied client base. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting building surveys and preparing detailed reports.
- Carrying out defect diagnosis and providing practical recommendations.
- Managing refurbishment, maintenance and improvement projects.
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation.
- Administering contracts and monitoring project progress.
- Undertaking condition surveys and planned maintenance assessments.
- Advising clients on property legislation, compliance and building regulations.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a consultancy, private practice or client-side environment.
- Strong technical knowledge across professional surveying services.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- A proactive and client-focused approach.
- Full UK driving licence (if required).

Ideally you'll also have:
- MRICS qualification (or be working towards chartership).
- Experience across commercial, education, healthcare or residential sectors.
