Building Surveyor (Interim role – Contract basis)
About the Role
An interim Building Surveyor is required for a local housing provider in Walsall.
Responsibilities
The role involves the following key duties:
- Conducting pre- and post-inspections (including high-rise properties), ensuring compliance
- Quality-checking contractors' works to maintain standards
- Confirming works are carried out to specification
- Undertaking stock condition surveys
- Overseeing the planned works programmes:
- Kitchen replacement programme
- Bathroom replacement programme
- Collaborating with the wider asset management team

Requirements
- Ideally, a qualification in building surveying or a related field (e.g., HNC)
- Substantial experience in working with housing providers or local councils
