Job Opportunities with Housing Association in Cheshire

We are currently working with a Housing Association based in Cheshire who are recruiting for two roles: Technical Surveyor - Damp and Mould and Building Surveyor - Pre Litigation.

Both roles are for six months (with potential for extension) and offer £35 an hour via an umbrella company.

Duties

Technical Surveyor (Damp & Mould – Awaab's Law Focus)

  • Conducting damp, mould and condensation inspections in line with Awaab's Law requirements
  • Assessing property defects, identifying root causes and recommending effective remedial solutions
  • Producing detailed survey reports, risk assessments and photographic evidence to support compliance
  • Managing remedial works from inspection through to completion, ensuring quality and timescale targets are achieved
  • Collaborating with tenants, contractors and internal teams to deliver customer-focused and compliant outcomes

Building Surveyor (Legal Disrepair – Pre-Litigation)

  • Inspecting residential properties to identify disrepair issues and determine appropriate remedial actions
  • Preparing comprehensive condition reports, specifications and schedules of work for legal disrepair cases
  • Coordinating repairs with contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of reported defects
  • Monitoring progress of disrepair works, verifying quality standards and confirming successful completion
  • Liaising with housing teams, residents and legal representatives to support the effective management of pre-litigation disrepair cases

  • 37 hours a week
