We are accepting applications for a Chartered Building Surveyor for our Belfast office.
Savills Belfast is one of Northern Ireland’s leading real estate advisory practices, providing a full range of property services across Ireland through our offices in Belfast, Dublin and Cork.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Belfast office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded team delivering a diverse range of professional and project-based Building Surveying instructions across Northern Ireland and Ireland.
The successful candidate will join a growing Building Consultancy team delivering a wide range of professional and project-based Building Surveying services across Northern Ireland and Ireland.
This is a hands-on role offering excellent variety and responsibility, suited to someone who enjoys working across both professional Building Surveying and project delivery work.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and have the opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of the service line.

- Undertaking a broad range of professional Building Surveying services.
- Preparation of technical due diligence, condition and defect reports.
- Preparation and negotiation of schedules of dilapidations.
- Design, specification and contract administration of refurbishment, repair and fit-out projects.
- Production and amendment of AutoCAD drawings.
- Preparation of schedules of works, specifications and tender documentation.
- Monitoring project / developments.
- Reinstatement cost assessments.
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) reports.
- Attendance at client, contractor and design team meetings.
- Managing client relationships and supporting business development initiatives.
The successful candidate for the role:
- MRICS qualified Building Surveyor or APC candidate nearing qualification.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant experience in Building Surveying consultancy.
- Strong technical Building Surveying knowledge across both professional and project work.
- Experience preparing drawings and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Experience in refurbishment and fit-out projects, including contract administration duties.
- Good report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Commercial awareness and proactive approach to client service.
- Proficient in IT including Excel, Word, and other relevant tools and experience in preparing reports to agreed formats and templates.
- Full UK Driving licence.
