About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Repairs & Maintenance team, supporting the management and improvement of A2Dominion’s housing portfolio.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our homes remain safe, compliant and well-maintained, using effective surveying practices and project management. With a focus on damp, mould and disrepair, you’ll ensure compliance with Awaab’s Law, HHSRS and wider housing legislation, diagnosing complex issues, managing risk and delivering long-term solutions that improve residents’ homes and wellbeing.

This role is ideally suited to surveyors with experience in social housing, local authorities or residential repairs, who are confident working in regulated environments and delivering a high-quality, resident-focused service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surveying & Inspections: Carry out property surveys to assess condition, identify defects and manage risks.
  • Damp, Mould & Disrepair: Diagnose and manage cases, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice.
  • Repairs & Project Management: Specify works, manage repairs and oversee minor works projects.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure properties meet building regulations, CDM 2015 and HHSRS requirements.
  • Contract Management: Monitor contractor performance, approve out-of-scope works and drive improvements.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets using NHF Schedule of Rates (M3NHF), monitor spend and authorise invoices.
  • Technical Expertise: Produce reports, provide specialist advice and support legal/disrepair cases where required.
  • Customer Focus: Lead complaint resolution and deliver strong service outcomes for residents.
  • Risk Management: Monitor cost, programme and health & safety risks across projects.
  • Case Management Systems: Manage and track cases using Microsoft Dynamics and Total mobile.
  • Partnership Working: Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver effective solutions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
