Senior Building Surveyor Job Description
Adkins Consultants is seeking an experienced and driven Building Surveyor to join our multi-disciplinary team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive range of Building services. Based at our Maidstone office, this position also supports flexible working arrangements, including working from home.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver a variety of Building Surveying and project management duties across multiple sectors.
- Assist in developing both new and repeat business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and oversee service delivery on a project by-project basis.
- Apply and administer standard building contracts (e.g. JCT and NEC).
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
- Conduct defect analysis, building surveys, and prepare detailed reports and specifications.
- Provide services in sectors such as education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure.
- Promote and uphold quality, health, safety, and environmental standards within projects.
- Contribute to business growth by identifying and developing fee-earning opportunities.
- Deliver professional services such as party wall matters, asset management, and statutory applications.

Additional Duties
- Manage larger projects, including contract administration and project management tasks.
- Conduct due diligence, and to conduct condition, and measured surveys.
- Lead small to medium-sized construction projects.
Requirements
- BSc (Hons) Building Surveying – RICS accredited degree.
- Proven all-round surveying experience.
- Experience in both pre- and post-contract project management, with a strong ability to deliver client-focused services.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Skills in Microsoft Word/Excel.
- Experience with AutoCAD and BIM Level 2 is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Commitment to legal, professional, and corporate compliance across all projects.
