Building Surveyor

We currently have a vacancy open for a Building Surveyor who is looking to develop their career, working on a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK. This role will be based at our Birmingham office, subject to business requirements the role may be eligible for hybrid working. As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for the delivery of building surveying services for a range of projects. You will be providing technical expertise, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, whilst ensuring compliance within all relevant design standards and regulations. Key Areas of Responsibilities Will Include: Assisting with conducting building condition surveys and producing clear, insightful reports for clients. Supporting the preparation of tender documentation – including drawings, specifications, and schedules of work. Assisting with tender submissions, contractor analysis, and the drafting of JCT construction contracts. Taking part in pre-contract briefings and ensuring smooth project handovers with the team. Carrying out regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and health & safety compliance. Attending client and project meetings, representing the business with professionalism and technical confidence. Travelling to sites and client locations as required. A relevant degree or strong working experience. Experience working with AutoCAD. Working towards or hoping to achieve RICS Chartership. License to use drones on construction sites (Desirable). CSCS Card (Desirable). This role requires you to have a full clean driving licence with access to your own vehicle, and will be subject to a DBS Enhanced check. Hours: Monday to Friday8:30am - 5:00pm (finishing at 4:30 on Friday!) Holiday: 25 days (pro-rata’d) plus bank holidays.
