A highly successful Property Consultancy has recently instructed Beach Baker to recruit a Projects Building Surveyor within their expanding Cardiff office.

About the Firm

Join a leading multi-disciplinary property consultancy with a strong UK presence, operating from 10 offices across the UK. With a team of approximately 1,400 professionals—including 200 dedicated building surveyors—the firm delivers expert consultancy services across a wide range of sectors. Having grown organically, it now reports an annual turnover of £150 million and has ambitious plans to triple this by 2035.

Role Features

  • Office based in the City Centre.
  • Part of a regional Building Surveying team of 13 people.
  • Mainly managing public sector projects.
  • Working with ‘Grade-A’ clients.
  • Contract work typically ranges between £500k to £2m.
  • Social and people-focused organization.

So where will you be working and what’s in it for you?

  • Fantastic city centre location with easy access to local amenities. It is a modern and recently refurbished office with several breakout working areas, showers, cycle facilities, and many more!
  • The team generally work in the office 2-days a week and the rest on-site and WFH.
  • Working within one of the largest Building Surveying teams in the region (many have worked for the business for 10+ years), therefore you will be fully supported by a great network of people. The team are well respected in the industry, so you have a chance to work with some of the best people in the field.
  • Partnering with clients who have secured project funding, ensuring a stable pipeline of work. Sectors include Emergency Services, Education, Healthcare, Aviation, and many more.
  • Interesting spread of projects and will not be pigeon-holed in one area, however the business is also happy to support someone who wants to specialize or create their own niche in a particular sector. So, this role would be great for someone who hasn’t had the chance to really make a role their own, this is your chance.
  • Regular social and networking events including monthly payday drinks (paid by the company), quarterly meals, annual company event with all UK employees, Christmas office party, and charity days.

Ideally MRICS, or working towards this. The hiring manager is happy to consider candidates from a commercial, construction consultancy, or client-side background ideally at Surveyor or Senior Surveyor level.
