Key purpose
The Business Support Team provides administrative support for the over 1,000 employees across the Health Advisory Assessment Services contract within Citizen Services. The Business Administrator is responsible for the accurate and efficient management of all administration activities within the end-to-end Joiner Mover and Leave process.
This role is integral to the smooth operation of the contract ensuring new starters receive the required system access and IT equipment. It also involves supporting IT and access issues resolution, providing accessibility software and equipment, and managing staff data and assets.
Key Accountabilities
- Create accounts for new joiners, set up system access and permissions, and coordinate IT kit provision.
- Manage accesses and permission changes for moves and updates.
- Process leavers in line with contractual requirements including removal of system accesses and recovery of IT kit.
- Follow up on client requests related to device recovery for leavers and long-term absences.
- Review compliance with Serco and client processes, which can be subject to audit.
- Coordinate the provision of appropriate assistive technology and equipment to meet employee accessibility needs.
- Providing guidance to employees on IT and access issues, escalating via agreed channels when necessary.
- Ordering of equipment when required.
- Maintain the internal staff management database, ensuring accurate employee data and supporting business wide reporting.
- Carry out contract-wide audits of equipment as required.

- Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical approach to work.
- Clear and friendly communicator especially when dealing with colleagues and employees.

- Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
