Business Development Representative – NBS Supplier

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, One Trinity Gardens

Working Model: Hybrid working: 3 days per week in our Newcastle office

Salary: OTE: £32,000, with monthly commission

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

About Hubexo:

At Hubexo, we provide data, insights, and software that help customers across the construction market make better decisions, work more efficiently, and build more sustainably.

NBS powered by Hubexo supports the construction industry with specification software, product information, and digital tools used across the built environment. Our NBS Supplier proposition helps construction product manufacturers present their products clearly, improve visibility with specifiers, and support better product decisions across projects.

The Role:

As a Business Development Representative in our NBS Supplier team, you will speak with construction product manufacturers, understand what they are trying to achieve, and book quality meetings for our Business Development Managers.

You do not need to know the specification market from day one. We will help you learn the product, the customer base, and the sales process. This is a strong entry point into B2B sales if you are confident speaking to people, motivated by targets, and ready to learn how new business works in a specialist market.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Source potential new customers for the NBS Supplier proposition.
  • Make outbound calls, use LinkedIn, re-engage lapsed customers, and follow up marketing activity to identify manufacturers and suppliers who could benefit from NBS.
  • Ask good questions, listen properly, handle objections, and explain how NBS can help manufacturers improve their visibility, present product information effectively, and connect with the specification market.
  • Work closely with Business Development Managers to ensure the meetings you book are relevant, well-qualified, and have a strong chance of converting into sales.
  • Learn the NBS Supplier proposition and understand how it helps manufacturers improve visibility, product information, and engagement with specifiers.
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce records to ensure activity, meetings, and progress are visible.
  • Work to clear performance metrics, including phone activity, meetings booked, meetings sat, and conversion from meeting to sale.
  • Attend industry exhibitions and field events to help identify and develop qualified leads.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
