Band 3 Higher Level Clinical Support Worker – Burn Unit
**role Overview
The Clinical Support Worker; Higher Level (HCA) will work collaboratively within the wider team under minimal supervision of registered practitioners, delivering effective, safe, and patient-centred care. Key duties include:
- Undertaking delegated clinical tasks such as :
- Basic patient observations
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Routine phlebotomy
- Supporting the Burn Unit’s operations by contributing to a positive, professional care environment.
- Ensuring the daily service provision meets patient and departmental needs.
- Facilitating a friendly, efficient, and compassionate listener and contact for service users.
- Acting as an advocated for patient care while maintaining departmental cohesion.

Key Responsibilities
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision, supporting registered practitioners in delivering safe care.
- Assist with clinical duties under delegation, maintaining accurate records and standards of practice.
- Support departmental goals, including patient front-of-house interactions and improving the quality of care.
- Comply with professional standards, codes of conduct, and Trust policies.
- Other relevant duties as directed, aligned with your skillset and experience.
