Bus Shunter

Bus Shunter – Contract Role

Location: Glasgow

  • Salary: £15–£16.90 per hour
  • Type: Full Time (Contract)
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Work Schedule: 5am to 2am, 5 days out of 7 (including weekends)

About the Role

Daniel Owen Agency are currently recruiting Bus Shunters based in Glasgow for this contract position.

Eligible candidates must have previous experience driving large vehicles.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring Run-in Area:
    • Oversee the route from entrance to the fuel bay, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Defect Reporting:
    • Report defects in the buses and complete provided lists at the start of each shift.
  • Bus Interior Maintenance:
    • Clean bus interiors as necessary to maintain high standards.
  • Vehicle Movement:
    • Collect vehicles from the fuelling bay.
    • Drive through the wash.
    • Park them in designated areas.
  • Charging Electric Buses:
    • Ensure electric buses are charged as required.
