Bus Stations Manager – Strathclyde Partnership for Transport

About Strathclyde Partnership For Transport

Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven Regional Transport Partnerships, serving a population of over 2.2 million people across 12 local authority areas in the West of Scotland.

SPT’s mission is to deliver an integrated, sustainable transport system, fostering inclusive economic growth, reducing inequality, and improving quality of life. Its core ambition is to create a world-class, low-carbon transport system that meets current and future needs.

SPT plays a pivotal role in regional transport planning, combining strategic insight, robust analysis, and practical delivery across all transport modes. Through collaboration with councils, Transport Scotland, the Scottish Government, operators, and communities, SPT shapes evolving transport services.

Beyond strategic planning, SPT leads and supports a broad spectrum of transport initiatives, including:

  • Investing in bus services, infrastructure, and the Glasgow Subway
  • Managing major transport programmes
  • Implementing passenger-focused improvements to enhance connectivity

SPT is currently undergoing a period of significant transformation. High-profile projects such as Bus Reform, Clyde Metro, and the Buchanan Bus Station masterplan represent major advancements in transport governance and delivery, ensuring passenger-centric, sustainable decision-making is at the core.

The organisation is known for its public service ethos, collaborative culture, and growing national influence. For professionals seeking impact at scale, SPT offers an environment where long-term change and measurable outcomes are achievable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
