Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About City of Newcastle Golf Club

Founded in October 1891, the City of Newcastle Golf Club originally played on a course at the Town Moor. In October 1891, the Club relocated to its current site at Grange Farm near the Three Mile Bridge in Gosforth. The course was originally designed by the great Harry Vardon, with significant enhancements made by the renowned Alister MacKenzie in 1913. MacKenzie, who later designed iconic courses such as Augusta National, Cypress Point, and Royal Melbourne, redesigned 12 of the 18 holes. His work on our 14th hole is notably featured in his seminal book, Golf Architecture, published in 1920. Today, the course retains much of Vardon’s and MacKenzie’s original vision and is celebrated as one of the finest in the North East, regularly hosting County and National events.
