Business Admin Level 3 Apprenticeship – St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust

We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual, who is hard working and eager to join our admin team as a Business Admin Apprentice. We are looking to recruit a confident, personable individual that can work independently and as a part of a team.

Key Details

  • Salary: £24,796 per annual
  • Working hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm (37 hours per week)
  • Location: Port of Liverpool Building, Pier Head, Liverpool, L3 1BY
  • Apprenticeship Details: 16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3 Business Administration Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/ remote).
  • Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 1st best UK training provider)

This is an exciting opportunity to join St Joseph Catholic Multi Academy Trust at a time of continued growth and development. As Apprentice Business Support Officer, the postholder will provide professional administrative and organisational support to the Central Team, with a particular focus on supporting the Business Support Officer in the provision of executive support to the Chief Executive Officer. Day to day duties will include:

  • Support the effective management of the CEO’s diary, correspondence, meetings and administrative requirements, while developing business administration skills through a structured apprenticeship programme.
  • The postholder will work closely with colleagues across the Central Team and schools, helping to ensure that central services are responsive, well organised and aligned with the Trust’s values and professional standards.
  • This apprenticeship is intended to provide a structured development pathway into a substantive Business Support Officer position within the Trust, subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, performance and organisational need.
  • Support the Business Support Officer in managing the CEO’s diary, appointments and meeting schedule.
  • Assist with arranging internal and external meetings, including venue bookings, invitations, agendas, papers and logistics.
  • Prepare meeting documentation, take notes or minutes when required and ensure follow-up actions are recorded and shared appropriately.
  • Monitor shared inboxes, respond to routine enquiries and direct correspondence to the appropriate colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with drafting routine correspondence, letters, communications, reports, spreadsheets and presentations using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Support the coordination of Trust events, conferences, training activities, travel arrangements and accommodation bookings where required.
  • Maintain accurate electronic filing systems, databases and records, ensuring information is stored appropriately and in line with Trust procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to Central Team departments, including support for policies, procedures, documentation, procurement and ordering processes.
  • Act as a professional first point of contact for enquiries to the Central Team, building positive relationships with schools, colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Successfully complete the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard, participate fully in off-the-job training and apply learning to improve performance.

Essential Requirements

  • GCSEs or equivalent in Math and English (required).
  • Commitment to completing the Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard and applying learning in the workplace.

  • Strong administration, organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who places high value on attention to detail.
