At CLAAS UK at Saxham we provide Sales, Service, Parts, IT, Marketing and Accounts support for our dealer network across the UK and Ireland. CLAAS UK is also the sole wholesale distributor for all CLAAS machinery in the UK and Ireland. Your role in our team:

Based at the CLAAS UK Headquarters at Saxham, we are looking for a Business Administration Trainee. This role will be supporting teams across the Executive Support, Finance, HR and our Saxham site.

This the role offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple functions within the organisation, while working towards a professional qualification with full support and study time during working hours.

Main Duties:

  • Assist the Head of Business Administration with day to day operational and administrative tasks
  • Manage compliance related matters as they arise.
  • Oversee the PSA (Performance and Staff Appraisal) process throughout the year.
  • Serve as first point of contact for Insurance Claim and carry out related analysis.
  • Organise Charity Committee meetings and events in collaboration with committee members.
  • Assist with organising company events.
  • Provide administrative support for company vehicles.
  • Support Facilities and site administration duties as needed.
  • Assist with Health and Safety administration, including organising training sessions.
  • Working on front of house reception for cover as required.
  • Perform other ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.

Your profile:

Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • The ability to communicate with staff at all levels within CLAAS UK
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • An understanding of the need for confidentiality
  • Strong character, able to challenge when required
  • Strong IT skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Must be able to work well within a team and also individually
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn

Hours of Work

  • According to the business requirements (Minimum 37.5 hours per week).
  • 5 days a week in the office with one day working from home after probation.
  • This role does not attract an overtime rate.

A fixed term, two year training contract with comprehensive support for training costs related to your agreed professional qualification. Support for first attempt examination costs. Dedicated study time during working hours to facilitate successful qualification completion; additional study expected outside of working hours.
