Business Administrator Apprentice
Business Development Apprentice
About the Role
You will work to proactively acquire new clients for the agency, develop relationships, and generate leads in the healthcare sector. The role involves cold calling, consultation booking, onboarding support, and sales activities, alongside gaining a Business Administrator Level 3 Qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development

Client Acquisition:
- Proactively contact care homes, NHS Trusts, private medical facilities, and potential service users to market the agency’s healthcare staffing and care services.
- Build and maintain relationships with cold prospects, converting them into active clients.

Lead Generation:
- Generate, qualify, and track new leads through cold calling, follow-ups, and enquiry management.
- Work towards agreed targets for new lead acquisition, client conversion, and business growth.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by identifying business development opportunities.

Consultations & Appointments:
- Pitch services by phone, scheduling face-to-face meetings, site visits, or care assessments.
- Guide prospective clients through the onboarding process, arranging necessary appointments.
- Convert enquiries into paying clients while building long-term relationships.

Administration & Coordination

CRM & Record Keeping:
- Log call records, lead information, and client data accurately using the agency’s systems.
- Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding standards.

Support Functions:
- Assisting in care scheduling coordination and communication with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Training & Development
- Participate in regular training sessions and complete apprenticeship coursework covering:
- Communication & customer service
- Business development, lead generation, and sales techniques
- Healthcare administration, records management, and confidentiality protocols
- Safeguarding, health and safety, and infection prevention
- Data protection, information governance, and professional behaviours
- Teamwork and mentorship
Career Progression
Upon completion, apprentices will qualify as:
- Level 3 Business Administrator (nationally recognised) Qualification holders can progress into permanent roles over time.
Career Progression Opportunities
Apprentices who excel may advance into scaled responsibilities, including:
- Permanent Employment within the agency upon apprenticeship completion.
- Promotion into roles such as:
- Business Development Executive
