### **About the Role**
Help people access opportunities, build skills, and secure sustainable employment as a **Business Administrator Apprentice** within Restart’s [Serco’s](#semarketing) Employment, Skills and Training team. Based in the operational delivery centre, you’ll provide essential administrative support, interact with participants/coworkers, and ensure seamless day-to-day operations—all while contributing to impactful community outcomes.
This **Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship** (professional setting) allows you to gain hands-on experience while establishing a strong foundation for your career. It’s about **developing practical skills, confidence, and proactive growth** in a purpose-driven organisation.

### **Key Responsibilities**
As a crucial frontend function within the team, you’ll handle:
- **Customer Service & Front-of-House:**
- Deliver high-quality interactions with participants and colleagues.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming reception environment.
- **Administrative & Data Support:**
- Manage reception duties, including greeting visitors and handling enquiries.
- Accurately capture and maintain participant data across systems/databases.
- Process and track attendance, schedules, and engagement metrics.
- **Operations & Compliance:**
- Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and system security guidelines.
- Handle routine admin tasks: **supplies orders, record maintenance**, petty cash.
- Support workplace processes like health & safety audits and office management.
- **Communication & Groundwork:**
- Serve as a primary point of contact for queries via **phone/email**.
- Assist with training programmes and apprenticeship administrative requirements.

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for inspiring candidates with:
- Academic Requirements: Maths GCSE Grade 4 (C) or above + English Grade 4 (C) or above.
- Essential Skills:
- Exceptional organisational ability and attention to detail.
- Fluent verbal/written communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Proficiency with IT systems: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (advanced skills a plus).
- Personal Traits:
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Commitment to great customer service. -Ability to balance focus and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Cybersecurity & Vetting Requirements
This role requires BPSS clearance (Basic Personnel Security Standard). This involves:
- Identity verification.
- Employment/history checks.
- Criminal background checks (to UK government standards).
- Occupational Health Questionnaire ( assurance of welfare and performance support).
