Job Description
AAT is a profit-for-purpose organisation helping people transform their lives through accounting and finance careers. Every qualification we deliver and every member we support helps people access new opportunities and achieve their ambitions.
Term: Permanent
Location: We have hybrid working in place, with 1-2 days per week, in our office in Canary Wharf.
Why this role matters
You'll help a purpose-driven organisation support thousands of students and members while building practical skills that can open up future career opportunities.
As a Business Administrator Apprentice in the Customer, Partnerships and Innovation (CPI) portfolio, you’ll play a central role in supporting some of the most visible and fast-moving areas of AAT that directly support our community of members and students.
You won’t be working in just one team. You'll work alongside teams that create new products, support our customers, grow partnerships and shape the future of AAT. One week you could be helping organise an event, the next supporting a new project or coordinating communications that help teams across AAT work together effectively. Every task you take on will help teams focus on delivering the services and support that make a difference.
Alongside your day-to-day role, you’ll complete a Business Administration apprenticeship, giving you structured learning, a recognised qualification and time to develop your skills as you work. This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation for your career, with support from colleagues across CPI to help you grow and progress.
Unlike many apprenticeship roles, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of teams and leaders across AAT, giving you valuable insight into how a successful organisation operates and helping you build professional relationships from day one.
This is an ideal first or second role for someone who wants to learn how a successful organisation works from the inside and gain experience across several business areas. You'll be supported not only by your Business Manager but also by a network of Business Administrators across AAT, providing opportunities to collaborate and learn from experienced colleagues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
