Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an experienced property or business agent to join our Retail team, based in our London office. You will:

  • Source and complete transactions involving retail businesses and properties, covering a wide range of assets across the South East of the UK.
  • Generate leads for sales, process instructions, and oversee deals from start to finish.
  • Identify, engage, and negotiate with buyers, business owners, and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, representing our brand professionally.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Regional Director for Retail and Leisure.
  • Have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Retail and Leisure Managing Director.
  • Collaborate with agents, valuers, and support staff in London, as well as colleagues in our other UK offices.

Responsibilities

Your key tasks will include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy.
  • Identifying, engaging, and building relationships with retail business owners, buyers, and stakeholders.
  • Leading every stage of the sales cycle, from prospecting and presentations to negotiation and deal closure.
  • Conducting in-depth market analysis to uncover growth opportunities.
  • Representing Christie & Co at industry events to strengthen our brand as a trusted retail brokerage firm.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A valid UK driving licence and confidence driving long distances.
  • At least two years’ experience in the property industry (commercial or residential).
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in property sales.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
