Business Analysis Lead – Technology Department
About the Role
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Business Analysis Lead to join their Technology department at their global Head Office in Prescot, Liverpool.
We are seeking a versatile leader who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering impactful business outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the dynamic blend of leading a team and remaining hands-on with critical projects. You will champion best practices while fostering a culture where your team can thrive, setting high standards through your own performance and mentorship.

Do You Have What It Takes?
To excel at Alfred H Knight, you must act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions. Your role involves translating requirements into actionable strategies.
Responsibilities
Essential Knowledge and Work Experience
- Empowering Leadership:
- Lead the Business Analysis "Chapter", mentoring and coaching a team of business analysts (BAs).
- Foster career development and professional growth within the BA function.
- Analytical Excellence:
- Drive evidence-based problem-solving with clear recommendations for change.
- Mastery of problem domain analysis and stakeholder needs.
- Methodology and Standards:
- Deep expertise in Business Analysis (BA) methodologies across Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Experience using modelling languages such as:
- UML (Unified Modelling Language)
- BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation)
- Project Lifecycle Experience:
- Leading workshops to gather and define user stories/use cases.
- Managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure seamless handover and solution alignment with business outcomes.

Required Work Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a business analysis role (or equivalent activities).
- Proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders to shape business cases and feasibility studies.
- Preferred: Experience in Agile environments with familiarity of tools like Asana or Jira.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum degree level education or equivalent professional experience.
- Preferred: BCS certifications.
