The Opportunity
QBE Europe is recruiting a Business Analysis Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis focusing on our Inwards Re-Insurance business.
As a Business Analysis Manager, you’ll manage and mentor a team of analysts while acting as the vital link between business and IT. You’ll shape strategy, drive agile delivery, and lead process and systems analysis to unlock value across the organisation. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, this role offers the opportunity to influence strategic roadmaps, deliver meaningful change, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and industry experts alike.

Your new role
- Manage a team of Business Analysts providing coaching and mentoring.
- Act as the interface between business and IT teams to provide analysis support, building domain expertise to support your aligned business unit in shaping their strategy.
- Lead in an agile working environment, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and flexibility.
- Specialise in process, business, or systems analysis to identify gaps and define or redesign processes.
- Manage essential process documentation and project implementation by collaborating with business partners.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the strategic technical roadmap for the domain.
- Support the implementation of business-led change to achieve business objectives.
- Drive overall improvement in the quality of analysis outputs.
- Build relationships with industry experts and stakeholders to align solutions with business and IT strategy.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure objectives are met.
- Communicate updates and changes in the IT strategy to all business stakeholders.

About You
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels in IT and business.
- Have strong Insurance or London Market and domain expertise, preferably with Re-Insurance experience.
- Experience of managing cross-functional teams and matrix management.
- Experience of negotiating and influencing executive level sponsors.
- Proven experience of interpreting business strategy and translating this into IT strategy.
- Significant business analysis experience, including managing multiple projects and complex projects using various delivery methodologies.
- Strong track record of technology delivery.
- Experience of managing and working with IT external vendors.
- Significant experience in the insurance industry.
- Project management experience, business analysis and improvement experience.
- Experience managing or leading others with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Some experience in a similar tech service environment within related industries.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, agile, collaborative environment.
