Business Analyst
Business Analyst – Northern Ireland Based

Job Description
The role involves:
- Proactively planning and conducting meetings, workshops, and presentations for diverse audiences, showcasing high-quality communication, elicitation, and persuasive skills.
- Analysing alternative solutions and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
- Documenting and mapping complex business processes using standard procedures, methods, and tools.
- Identifying improvement opportunities, specifying requirements, and implementing recommendations to enhance current business processes.
- Performing root cause analysis of problems and collaborating closely with business users to translate their needs into solution designs and systems specifications.
- Producing detailed Business Requirement Specification (BRS) documents, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and sign-off before development commences.
- Effective communication with technical and business staff (including senior managers) across the project lifecycle to secure commitment and reduce resistance to change.
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) throughout testing phases to verify that requirements as described in the BRS are delivered and production-ready.
- Assisting IT and Business teams during new functionality deployments to ensure a smooth transition to updated processes.

Requirements
Essential
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong documentation skills, particularly writing detailed requirements specification documents in English for development and test teams
- Experience working on large-scale and smaller projects, including designing business solutions
- Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, schedule, and deliver to deadlines
- Experience in Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies—amphibious experience preferred
This role is open only to candidates based in Northern Ireland.
