The Role:
Canopius is a growing global specialty insurer known for its expertise, collaborative culture and practical innovation. We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Change team, shaping high‑impact transformation that improves how the business operates and delivers on our strategic ambition.
You’ll work on initiatives that really matter to the business, sitting at the heart of our One Delivery model. You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams as a trusted delivery partner and help influence the change you deliver from idea through to implementation.
You will play a key role in defining problems, identifying opportunities and translating business needs into actionable requirements, with technology as an enabler, not a starting point. You will work on a range of initiatives from incremental process improvements and small enhancements to complex, multi‑year strategic change programmes.
If you’re a Business Analyst who enjoys variety and wants to play an active role in shaping change then this role is ideal for you. It’s a great opportunity to deepen your analysis skills, broaden your exposure and make a visible difference in a supportive, forward‑thinking delivery environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Drive the analysis for meaningful business transformation, delivering tangible value through operational improvement and increased efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops and engage stakeholders to uncover needs, map current processes, identify pain points and spot opportunities for improvement.
- Confidently challenge thinking and assumptions to establish clarity and influence direction.
- Work closely with the Architecture and Design team to translate strategic vision and goals into clear, actionable requirements and user stories.
- Collaborate with colleagues across One Delivery to design business solutions and robust processes that genuinely improve business outcomes and ways of working.
- Enable effective decision-making, providing data and insight to support business cases, options analysis and recommendations.
- Support change from ideation through to delivery, acting as a trusted delivery partner and as the bridge between the business and the development teams. Contribute to change readiness, training materials and adoption activities.
- Measure the success and business benefits of delivered solutions, continuously looking for ways to improve outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
