Business Analyst - Permanent - Retail Focus
Location: Bury - Hybrid/Flexible Working Salary: Consultant (up to £55,000) / Senior Consultant (up to £70,000) SC Eligibility: Essential
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our growing Digital Transformation practice. You will support some of the UK’s leading retail and eCommerce organisations, working closely with clients to deliver large-scale digital transformation programmes. Your role involves helping shape customer-facing products and services across online, mobile, and in-store channels.
This is a client-facing consulting role, where you will bridge the gap between business and technology, gathering requirements, facilitating workshops, and ensuring the successful delivery of digital solutions.

Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
- Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders
- Produce user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps
- Support Discovery, Alpha, and Delivery phases of digital transformation programmes
- Analyse and improve AS-IS and TO-BE business processes
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, UX Designers, and Engineering teams
- Support Agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Manage stakeholder expectations across multiple business functions
- Assist with UAT (User Acceptance Testing) planning, execution, and defect management
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives and customer outcomes

Experience Required
- Commercial experience as a Business Analyst within Retail or eCommerce
- Experience delivering digital transformation programmes
- Strong skills in requirements gathering and stakeholder management
- Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
- Familiarity with process mapping (AS-IS / TO-BE)
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban)
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
- Experience working alongside Product, Engineering, and Design teams
