Business Analyst – ITAM & FinOps Division

Phoenix (Located at HQ, Pocklington – Hybrid available)

Phoenix enables digital transformation across the UK public sector, empowering organisations through cloud and hybrid infrastructures, data, AI, security, and collaboration technologies. We’re hiring a Business Analyst to join our Systems Development team in the ITAM & FinOps division.

About the Role

You’ll work closely with customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to identify, analyse, and document requirements, ensuring the development and enhancement of our License Dashboard systems and customer-facing platforms. This is an opportunity to shape products and services that drive customer outcomes, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as a key liaison between business teams, management, and software delivery teams
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders to refine product roadmaps
  • Gather requirements through workshops, interviews, surveys, and analysis
  • Identify process improvements across business systems and ways of working
  • Document functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and process maps
  • Ensure requirements are clearly defined, approved, and aligned with business goals
  • Be the go-to reference for product development and implementation queries
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders via status reports and Agile updates
  • Work with internal teams and vendors to support development and testing
  • Facilitate adoption of new systems through training, demos, and engagement
  • Own assigned tasks while contributing to successful product delivery
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–3 years in a Business Analyst role (or equivalent)—preferably in software development lifecycle/agile environments
  • Proven stakeholder management—building rapport with diverse groups
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies (desirable)

Practical Information

  • Location: HQ, Pocklington, YO42 (primary base)
  • Working Model: Hybrid (flexibility aligned to team needs)
  • Interviews:
    • Screen call with Recruitment Team
    • 2-stage interview process (online → in-person)
