Business Analysts X 2 – Delegated Authority Growth Programme
Location: London / Hybrid
Salary: £80,000–£85,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Business Analysts to join a major London Market insurer on a high-profile, CEO-sponsored growth initiative focused on enhancing Delegated Authority performance, analytics, and business capability.
These newly approved positions offer the chance to shape the future of Delegated Authority operations and analytics within a business that is investing heavily in portfolio growth, optimisation, and improved decision-making. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and Actuarial, you will play a key role in defining future capabilities and influencing strategic outcomes.
We are seeking candidates for the following opportunities:
Business Analyst – Operational Analytics (Delegated Authority SME)
This role will lead a critical discovery phase focused on understanding how Delegated Authority and Bordereaux data is utilised across the organisation and identifying opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse the flow and usage of Bordereaux and Delegated Authority data across the business.
- Engage with stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, and Operations.
- Assess current data usage, quality issues, gaps, and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Produce findings, recommendations, and supporting documentation.
- Contribute towards the development of a future roadmap and business case for subsequent implementation phases.

Ideal Background
We are particularly interested in individuals with strong Delegated Authority operational expertise, including:
- Bordereaux Analysts
- Delegated Authority Analysts
- Lloyd’s Market Operations professionals
- Business Analysts with Delegated Authority experience
Candidates who have transitioned from operational Delegated Authority or Bordereaux roles into Business Analysis will be highly regarded.
Business Analyst – Performance Analytics
This role will support a strategic programme extending an established portfolio performance framework into the Delegated Authority business, helping define how future performance will be measured, monitored, and reported.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Define KPI, reporting, and data requirements.
- Work with business stakeholders to agree methodologies and performance measures.
- Develop prototype analytical models using Excel and/or Power BI.
- Produce high-quality requirements documentation.
- Secure stakeholder agreement and sign-off.
- Support the development of future dashboards and reporting solutions.

About You
Essential Experience
- Strong Lloyd’s and London Market insurance experience.
- Delegated Authority, Binding Authority, Coverholder, or MGA expertise.
- Proven Business Analysis and requirements gathering skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- Ability to translate complex business challenges into structured, documented solutions.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and executive-sponsored initiatives.
