Business Analyst
6-month contract

Market Rates (c£450 to £475 per day)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the delivery of a secure, scalable, and interoperable data-sharing infrastructure that allows organisations in different sectors to manage and exchange information securely while maintaining control over their own data.
Working across multiple workstreams, you will translate business needs into clearly specified requirements and support delivery from concept through to pilot evaluation.
The role is supporting a major public-sector organisation delivering a large-scale digital transformation programme - replacing legacy systems with a modern, integrated solution that will significantly enhance operational capability across critical services.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience delivering complex digital and data platforms and programmes.
- Strong requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and process modelling skills.
- Strong experience of fast-paced agile delivery based on Scrum.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, security specialists, and business stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
- Digital Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) systems.
- Public sector, regulated industry, or federated ecosystem solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and capture business, technical, security, and governance functional and non-functional requirements.
- Analyse and produce a range of requirements and design artefacts, including user stories, use cases, process maps, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Define requirements for policy-based data discovery, data access requests, data access enforcement, and associated data governance.
- Maintain clear and explicit requirements traceability from and to support Product Backlog prioritisation.
- Support system testing, User Acceptance Testing, pilot activities, business readiness, and business acceptance activities.

NB: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic level of security clearance before undertaking the assignment (around two weeks’ lead-time).
