Business Analyst
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join the Identity and Access team, bringing broad analytical capability across HR systems, directory services, and identity platforms. This role will focus on analysing and improving how identity data flows and is governed across MyHR, One Identity, Active Directory, and Entra, and more broadly across the identity ecosystem. The successful candidate will gather and document business and data requirements, assess current-state processes for gaps and risks, and work with technical teams to ensure systems, reporting, and data mappings remain accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose. The initial scope will cover the MNSUK domain for employees and contractors, followed by non-human accounts, with subsequent extension to additional domains such as MNSSTORES for store colleagues, and ongoing opportunities to support other HR/identity initiatives across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse end-to-end processes and data flows across HR systems (e.g., MyHR), identity governance platforms (e.g., One Identity), and directory services (Active Directory, Entra) to understand current-state operations and identify gaps.
- Gather, document, and prioritise business and functional requirements across a range of identity and access initiatives, not limited to a single system or project.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, HR, and engineering/technical teams, translating requirements into clear specifications regardless of which system or platform is involved.
- Assess and document how identity attributes are created, transformed, and consumed across the HR-to-directory lifecycle, identifying where attributes are missing, inconsistent, or misaligned.
- Partner with technical teams to ensure PowerBI dashboards and database reports reflect current data and evolving requirements across systems.
- Support the definition of consistent identity data standards for employees, contractors, non-human accounts, and store colleagues across domains.
- Identify data integrity issues, process gaps, and control weaknesses across HR/AD/identity platforms, and recommend improvements.
- Produce process documentation, requirement specifications, data mapping documents, and current/target-state process maps to support knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions across HR, IT, security, and business teams to capture requirements, agree scope, and validate solutions.
- Track and report on progress against requirements, ensuring traceability from requirement to delivery.
- Flex across concurrent initiatives spanning different systems and domains as priorities shift within the Identity and Access roadmap.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with broad exposure across HR systems, directory services, and/or identity and access management platforms (rather than deep specialism in just one).

- Working knowledge of PowerBI, sufficient to interpret and specify reporting/dashboard requirements.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, sufficient to interrogate data and validate findings with technical teams.
- Solid understanding of how identity data moves and is governed across HR systems, identity management platforms, and directory services (e.g., MyHR, One Identity, Active Directory, Entra).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, comfortable working across unfamiliar systems.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications for data mapping, provisioning, and dynamic content delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, and across HR, IT, and business functions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities across different systems/domains and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Graph and API-based data integrations, sufficient to scope requirements alongside engineering teams.
