Job Summary:
Are you a technical problem-solver who loves data, integrations, and human-centric design? Do you excel at translating complex technical architecture into clear business solutions?
The Arizona Department of Administration is looking for a dynamic Statewide Business Analyst to act as the primary liaison between ADOA Human Resources and our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technical teams. In this role, you won’t just be managing system requests—you will be the architect of how technology serves thousands of state employees across Arizona, specifically focusing on optimizing our core platform, AZ360.
If you are looking for a position where your analytical skills directly impact data security, system efficiency, and statewide innovation, this is it.
Why You’ll Want to Apply (Your Core Impact)
The State of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility, autonomy, and trust. Across our many agencies, boards, and commissions, many State employees participate in the State’s Remote Work Program and are able to work remotely in their homes, in offices, and in hoteling spaces. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
Job Duties:
- Be the Strategic Bridge: You will be the vital Point of Contact between non-technical HR stakeholders and our core IT/ERP teams. You will own the pipeline for system work requests, prioritize bug fixes, and solve complex system challenges on a statewide scale.
- Design the Future State: Work directly with agency stakeholders to map out "As-Is" workflows and design "To-Be" technical requirements. You will turn operational pain points into elegant functional specifications for system enhancement.
- Champion Data Integrity & Privacy: Put your SQL skills to work! You will ensure the ultimate security, accuracy, and compliance of statewide HRIS data. From building critical reporting dashboards to auditing file feeds and API connections between systems, you are the guardian of our data.
- Drive Automation and Innovation: Tired of clunky, manual processes? You have a direct mandate to identify inefficiencies, run compliance audits, and implement automated solutions to improve data quality across the state.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
