Senior Data Business Analyst
Contract | £400/day Inside IR35
6 Months
Hybrid (3 days per week in either London / Basingstoke)
I’m currently recruiting for a Senior Data Business Analyst to support a major Data & Analytics transformation programme within a leading UK organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data BA to help shape and deliver data-driven solutions, working across business and technical teams to improve reporting, data quality, governance, and analytics capability.

- Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder sessions
- Gather, analyse and document business and data requirements
- Define KPIs, business rules, and reporting requirements
- Create user stories and acceptance criteria
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Analysts
- Support Agile delivery across a large-scale data transformation programme
Experience Required:
- Strong Business Analysis experience within Data, BI, Reporting, or Analytics environments
- Proven stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Experience gathering requirements, writing user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Strong SQL skills and ability to validate data
- Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Reporting, and KPI definition
- Agile delivery experience
- Ability to bridge business and technical teams

- Databricks
- Python
- Cloud data platforms
- Insurance or Financial Services experience
