We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support CoTax Live Services, focusing on delivering business change within a complex, high-volume tax processing environment.

This role will be responsible for requirements gathering, impact assessment, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring safe and effective delivery of change across both live service and programme work.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

  • Elicit, document, and validate business and system requirements
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured requirements and user stories
  • Work closely with business SMEs to understand operational processes and pain points

Impact Assessment

  • Perform end-to-end impact analysis across CoTax systems and dependent services
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and downstream impacts on live services
  • Support decision-making by clearly articulating change implications

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including:
    • Business teams
    • IT Delivery Managers and technical teams
    • External suppliers (e.g. Capgemini)
  • Facilitate workshops, discussions, and requirement walkthrough sessions
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology

Delivery Support

  • Support live service and project delivery through:
    • Refinement of requirements
    • Managing backlog items
    • Clarifying queries during build and testing phases
  • Contribute to governance artefacts (e.g. RAID logs, documentation, reporting)

Documentation & Artefacts

  • Produce high-quality documentation including:
    • Requirements (BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria)
    • Process maps / business flows
    • Impact assessments
  • Ensure traceability from requirements through to delivery

Essential Criteria

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in large-scale IT delivery environments
  • Strong expertise in: Requirements elicitation and documentation, Impact analysis across complex systems
  • Experience working in live service / BAU environments alongside change delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams (BA, DM, Technical, Supplier)

  • Tax or Civil Services Experience preferred

  • Strong alignment between business needs and technical delivery
