Application Business Analyst - 12 month contract - Outside IR35 - 1 day per fortnight in office - £600 - £635 per day
We’re working with a global industrial technology business undergoing a significant transformation programme and hiring an Application Business Analyst to support a large-scale application migration initiative. The company provides specialist detection, screening and security solutions used across transport hubs, border control, defence and other critical environments.
About the Role
This role will sit within a global migration programme and focus on understanding, documenting and shaping the migration approach for a complex application estate of around 350 applications worldwide. The work will involve engaging business teams, gathering the right information, mapping dependencies and helping define how applications and users will transition.

What the Application Business Analyst will be doing:
- Working across global business teams to gather application and user information
- Documenting current state, dependencies, migration requirements and timelines
- Supporting planning for how applications will be transitioned across the programme
- Engaging stakeholders to chase inputs, clarify gaps and drive progress
- Operating with a high degree of independence in a complex environment

Application Business Analyst key requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within large-scale application or transformation programmes
- Strong experience gathering requirements across broad and complex application estates
- Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and driving actions forward
- Able to quickly understand application landscapes and document migration needs
- No need for deep expertise in one specific platform - this is more about structure, analysis and delivery ownership
