About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join HSBC's dynamic team in the UK, focusing on Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance platforms. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to shape and enhance HSBC’s Supply Chain Finance systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business and its clients. Your primary responsibilities will include defining project scope, translating complex business requirements into clear specifications, and driving end-to-end delivery from conception to deployment. Working closely with senior stakeholders across business units, IT teams, and external vendors, you will facilitate seamless communication, remove obstacles, and ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and within scope. If you have a passion for delivering impactful solutions through Agile methodologies and are eager to improve customer and colleague experiences at scale, this opportunity is ideal for you.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and stakeholder management capabilities. Relevant qualifications include a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience supporting or enhancing Supply Chain Finance or Trade Finance systems is essential. Strong knowledge of high-level system architecture and experience with system support or development is required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of SDLC, Waterfall, and Agile delivery methodologies, and proficiency in Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to influence decisions and maintain robust business relationships. Domain expertise in Trade Finance, coupled with Supply Chain Finance knowledge, will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise in Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance to support and optimize existing systems, ensuring alignment with business processes and user needs.
- Define and manage project scope, objectives, and deliverables by collaborating with senior management and key stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Develop comprehensive business and functional requirements documentation, including detailed specifications and broader project artifacts.
- Lead delivery governance activities, including managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables, while conducting regular project meetings to monitor progress and address issues promptly.
- Engage with stakeholders across business, IT, and vendor teams to communicate project status, identify risks, mitigate issues, and ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
