ABOUT THE ROLE
We're supporting a secure government programme seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major Data transformation initiative. You'll work closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to improve data governance, interoperability, and information management across a complex enterprise environment.
This is an opportunity to work on high-impact projects within the National Security sector, helping shape data strategy and drive business change.
THE ROLE
As a Business Analyst, you'll bridge the gap between business and technical teams, translating complex data requirements into practical solutions. You'll support the development of data standards, improve data quality and governance, and collaborate with architects, product teams, and information managers to enable effective decision-making across the programme.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Strong Business Analysis experience within complex technical or data-focused programmes
- Experience gathering and documenting business and data requirements
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data standards
- Experience working with data models and improving interoperability across multiple systems
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences
- Experience working independently within secure, fast-paced delivery environments

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- AWS or cloud data migration experience
- Knowledge of data catalogues, ontologies, or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, or modern data platforms
- Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Sparx Enterprise Architect, or Draw.io
- Previous experience within National Security, Defence, or other highly regulated environments
